Three quarters of the Uk’s households apparently have a home computer, with almost the same proportion connected to the internet, these figures were released by the Office for National Statistics. There was a massive 72% increase in people owning a computer in their homes in 2008-2009, there was also a 5% rise in people having an internet connection. These results I find staggering, i imagine that within these results a large percentage of the owners to these computers have children within the household, or perhaps work from home. It would be interesting to find the stats on how many people do not actually use the computer at all.
